MKE – Week 20 : Do You Have It In YOU?
‘Haven’t Seen It Yet’ ~ Danny Gokey
Have you been praying and you still have no answers?
Have you been pouring out your heart for so many years?
Have you been hoping that things would have changed by now?
Have you cried all the faith you have through so many tears?
Have you been pouring out your heart for so many years?
Have you been hoping that things would have changed by now?
Have you cried all the faith you have through so many tears?
Don’t forget the things that He has done before
And remember He can do it all once more
And remember He can do it all once more
It’s like the brightest sunrise
Waiting on the other side of the darkest night
Don’t ever lose hope, hold on and believe
Maybe you just haven’t seen it, just haven’t seen it yet
You’re closer than you think you are
Only moments from the break of dawn
All His promises are just up ahead
Maybe you just haven’t seen it, just haven’t seen it yet
Maybe you just haven’t seen it, just haven’t seen it yet
Maybe you just haven’t seen it
Waiting on the other side of the darkest night
Don’t ever lose hope, hold on and believe
Maybe you just haven’t seen it, just haven’t seen it yet
You’re closer than you think you are
Only moments from the break of dawn
All His promises are just up ahead
Maybe you just haven’t seen it, just haven’t seen it yet
Maybe you just haven’t seen it, just haven’t seen it yet
Maybe you just haven’t seen it
I am writing this blog for all of those that are struggling! The Faith, Confidence, Strength, Perseverance, Love, Hope and Support that I have for others has always been a part of my life! My parents showed me through example. I want to give anyone out there a part of me. If you are struggling please feel free to contact me. I am a great listener. I can support you in anyway that you may be struggling.
I started this blog with a song by Danny Gokey. He was a guest on my favorite radio station, 95.1 Shine FM on Wednesday of this week. Talk about a man of Faith and perseverance. He lost his wife a month before going on the American Idol show. He talked about Faith and Fear. We have to conquer Fear! You cannot Fear things that you cannot control. Take a leap of Faith! I have come out of my comfort zone in the last 5 years. Was there Fear, Anxiety at times in my life? YES, and it something we probably encounter throughout our lives. But if we don’t push through it, we will never know what is on the other side. When I do a presentation and mess up. I chuckle at myself and continue.
I have decided to embrace – Fear, Guilt, Anger, Hurt Feelings and Unworthiness. These are all emotions. Look at them in a positive light.
Fear : an unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger.
Guilt : 1: the fact of having committed a breach of conduct especially violating law and involving a penalty. 2: (a) the state of one who has committed an offense especially consciously. (b) feelings of deserving blame especially for imagined offenses or from a a sensitive of inadequacy. 3: a feeling of deserving blame for offenses.
Anger : 1: a strong feeling of displeasure and usually of antagonism. 2: rage
Hurt Feelings : (hurt) 1: (a) to inflict with physical pain. (b) to do substantial or material harm to. 2: (a) to cause emotional pain or anguish to. (b) to be detrimental. (feelings) 1: (a) the one of the basic physical senses of which the skin contains the chief end organs and of which the sensations of touch and temperature are characteristics. (b) generalized body consciousness or sensation. (c) appreciative or responsive awareness or recognition.
Unworthiness (unworthy) : 1: lacking in excellence or value. 2: not meritorious (undeserving). 3: not deserved.
**WOW! What powerful and negative emotions. I have found myself using the Law of Substitution. Replace it with a positive. When we experience things outside of our comfort zone, the emotions will rise. PUSH THROUGH! Lower the cortisol. The exhilaration on the other side is rewarding! “It’s like riding a roller coaster!” Every single one of us has the POWER to either let them control us or we can chose to push them away! I chose to step into the unknown! Take the leap of FAITH!! Take the step with me!**
Law of Substitution – We cannot think about 2 things at the same time. If a negative thought enters your mind ~ try to think about God instead. If that is too big a reach at the time, use any fond memory or other pleasant thought. Jesus, the Master Teacher, said, “Resist not evil” ~ meaning turn from it and think about something else instead.
So, every morning this week while driving to work, I say, ‘God, Make me the BEST version of myself, that I can be today!’ It works!! Take the time to build yourself. Mold yourself. You will be amazed the small steps will develop into something MARVELOUS!! Embrace your UNIQUENESS! Be the LEADER, not the follower. I have FAITH in every single one of you!!
I look forward to hearing what everyone is going through. Leave me a little bit of your life. 🙂
PEACE & LOVE!!

Very inspirational Michelle! I just made a poster and hung it in my office, saying GOD, make me the BEST version of myself, that I can be today. My house is full of signs to remind me on a daily basis. Thank you!
